‘Penny Dreadful’ season 3 trailer features Eva Green, exotic locales, and more

Come Sunday, May 1 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, “Penny Dreadful” is going to be back on Showtime with new episodes for season 3, which is certainly a cause for celebration. After watching the first trailer for the new season, we’re certainly inclined to believe that this show is going to be bringing us more of what we’ve come to expect from this show: beautiful, sensual, horror.

At the end of season 2, what we saw was many characters splintering off in a wide array of different directions. Some left willingly, others left because they were forced to, and the struggle now is finding a way to rope everyone into the same world once more. We’re sure that this will not be easy, but we hope they find a way to bring everyone back together sooner rather then later since one of the reasons this show works as well as it does is because of the chemistry in the cast. One thing we do find personally to be very entertaining is seeing so many different locales in the trailer, giving the show something more than its typical Gothic feel.

Of course, this trailer also reminds us of plenty of great material coming for Eva Green, who (for us) is one of the most underrated actresses working in TV right now. While she is sometimes nominated for awards, she is unfortunately rarely ever considered to be a favorite to win. We hope the time for her to win a few awards will be coming up this year.
