Is ‘The Good Wife’ season 7, episode 19 new tonight? Where Julianna Margulies series may go from here
Tonight, we come again with bad news for fans of “The Good Wife,” as there is no new episode airing on CBS. Why? Thank the Academy of Country Music Awards for that. This happens every April, so if you’ve been watching the show live for a while now, you are more than familiar with the phenomenon.
As for when the show is going to return, think along the lines of Sunday, April 17. While there is a new episode of “Madam Secretary” airing next week, in a rare move the Julianna Margulies series will not follow it up with an installment of its own. The reason here is due to “Elementary,” which still has several of its 24 episodes still to air, and the network needs to place an extra one here in order to ensure that it wraps up at a time that is convenient for them in the thick of the ad-friendly May sweeps.
When “The Good Wife” does return, it will be with an episode entitled “Landing” that will in part feature the return of Gary Cole as Diane’s husband Kurt, and also feature Alicia (Margulies) and Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) heading to Toronto in order to help Jeff Delinger. That’s right: You’re also getting Zach Woods in this episode! It’s nice that he will be all over TV this month in between this episode and the return of “Silicon Valley” to the air on the 24th.
While there may not be an extraordinary amount of new material available for “Landing” just yet, we do have the photo of Margulies and Jumbo above! It certainly feels Canadian; maybe that’s because of the hats in the background.
