‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 3 star confirms departure after character death

With almost any other show, death would be considered final; however, this is “Sleepy Hollow,” and with that in mind, the title above probably makes more sense than it would otherwise.

Ultimately, what we have HERE via cast member Zach Appelman is proof that the end of Joe Corbin actually does mean the end of him on the show, as well. For those who loved him with Jenny Mills (Lyndie Greenwood), it’s a pretty sad day. Of course this is the sort of world where this sort of stuff can happen almost all of the time, so you really do have to be prepared for it to arrive at almost any doorstep.

If anything, Joe’s departure should further along everything else that we’re going to be seeing on the show during the big season 3 finale, which should be a showdown like no other between Abbie, Ichabod, and the Hidden One. We’re hopefully going to get a little bit of closure (after all, we don’t know what the future holds for this show beyond season 3), while at the same time getting hopefully some sort of a teaser regarding what a fourth season for the series could be. We do want to make note of the fact that the promo for next week’s episode labeled it a “season finale” rather than a series one, so there may be a reason to hold out even the tiniest bit of hope.

For now, though, let’s remember the good times with Joe. It’s been a fun season with the character.
