‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, episode 16 video: Hades presses Rumpelstiltskin

For all of those out there intrigued about the next new episode of “Once Upon a Time,” trust us when we say that we’re right there with you. This marks a tremendous opportunity to see more of Hades in action, and also learn a thing or two about what his plans are to trap as many people in the Underworld as possible. (As for why, that is still a little bit of a mystery — we’re not entirely sure what he gets out of keeping people there other than having a crew of kinda-warm bodies around.)

In the sneak peek below, you can see specifically Robert Carlyle’s character continuing his straw-spinning duties as a part of the arrangement that he made with the Underworld’s king. If you recall, the terms were fairly simple: Rumple helps him to get what he wants, and he won’t take away the child that he has coming up with Belle. The saddest part of this at the moment is the mere fact that Belle is seemingly unaware of her pregnancy right now.

So what does Hades want with using Rumple to create a portal to Storybrooke? He obviously wants to bring the living down there, and there are a few different motivations for that:

1. To torment the people already in the Underworld.

2. To bring in some new people to torment.

3. To potentially bring in someone with connections to Zelena, who could actually be this guy’s one true love based on some of the stuff we’ve seen teased for this episode. Hey, there’s someone for everyone out there, right?
