‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: What lies ahead in ‘Party’
“The Good Wife” as a series is going to be coming to a close on May 8, but there are some installments coming up before then. This includes “Party,” which is the last episode before the last episode before the last episode. It will air on April 24, and the first-look synopsis gives you some other details when it comes to what will be coming up in the future:
“Alicia’s night goes from bad to worse when she throws a party to celebrate Howard and Jackie’s upcoming wedding. Also, Eli asks Jason to investigate Peter in preparation for his trial.”
Think of this mostly as further verification that the series could end with Peter’s trial, and with Alicia finally figuring out what she wants her future to be. The last we saw her on this show this past Sunday, she made it clear that she wanted to move forward with a divorce. For the majority of the series, she found some sort of political gain from being married to him, just like he found some benefits courtesy of being married to her, including giving the impression of having a stable family life.
The events here will almost surely set things up for the remainder of the season, and we are rather pleased to know that Peter and Jason are both going to be around for it. Given Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s increasingly-busy schedule thanks to the end of “The Walking Dead,” we are rather pleased that he continues to stick around and wrap up what will hopefully be a compelling arc here.
