‘Ink Master’ season 7, episode 4 preview: St. Marq, Alex Rockoff do battle

Through the first few episodes of “Ink Master” this season, we’ve seen the beginnings of a notable rivalry between the newbie artists and the returning stars. The newbies have constantly puffed out their collective chests in saying that they are ready to tackle almost anything that is thrown at them. However, they have not been able to live up to that so far. Three episodes in, and we’ve now seen three newbie artists go home.

Now, we’re starting to see some of the veterans mount a little bit of a counter-attack. There will be four of them up against five newbie artists on next week’s new episode, and it’s possible that St. Marq, Cleen Rock One, and Sausage will team up to take some of them down.

The good news for the newbies at this point is that most of the people left are very talented, especially when you think of that alliance of Christian, Megan, and Anthony. All three of them have won at least something since the start of the season, and Anthony is coming off of an Elimination Challenge win.

While these three fight for their lives in the competition, we’re actually going to see none other than Alex Rockoff decide to go toe-to-toe with St. Marq, hoping that he can take him down a notch in a verbal confrontation. It’s the sort of bluster that this show is really known for, and while we appreciate Alex’s effort, we do still have to wonder whether or not this is really the right sort of move to make. St. Marq isn’t a guy to get easily riled-up in a way that causes problems for him.
