‘Outlander’ season 2 poster sets the table for plenty of drama, intrigue

Come Saturday, April 9, Starz is going to debut the latest season of “Outlander” … and the good news that we’ve got for you right now is that you don’t have to wait any longer to see the latest poster!

The image below literally and figuratively sets the table for what the upcoming batch of episodes will be about, and also how different it will be from season 1. Gone are the brutal conditions of Scotland, and in its place we’re going to have a chance to see Jamie and Claire Fraser in France on the edge of the Jacobite rebellion. It’s a time when whispers are powerful weapons, and who you know and what they think about you is almost more important than anything else.

This place is going to test Jamie and Claire in a different way than they have been so far. They’ll have to flex some different muscles, and figure out new, interesting ways in which they can find their footing. Will they make it through? It’s possible, but everything from time travel to more human issues will rise to the forefront.

The one thing that we are rather confident about at present is that Starz is really putting their all into promoting this season to the best of their ability. We’re seeing them work hard and do almost everything that they can in order to ensure that season 2 premieres to the show’s highest ratings yet. We feel mostly confidently that it could set a record with the premiere, but at the same time it’s a little hard to guess for-certain since we are talking about a Saturday-night show here coming on at a time when the weather is starting to heat up nationwide.
