Ratings: ‘Chicago Med,’ ‘NCIS,’ ‘Agent Carter’ rise; ‘The Flash’ dips
For the second straight day, we’re here to write about some primetime ratings that are actually more good news than bad. Isn’t it nice when things are a little bit more positive? We like to think so.
The winners – We’ll start with the sort-of good news: “Agent Carter” improved to a 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic for its first of two episodes on Tuesday night, with the bad news being that the show declined back down to a 0.7 for its second half hour. While any improvement for the show is worth celebrating, you do have to remember at the moment that with some of the changes over at ABC (including a new network boss), there may be even less of a reason and an investment in keeping this show going.
“NCIS” won the night with a solid 2.4 rating that marks a slight increase from the week before, and it was fairly good news for NBC thanks to a rising “Chicago Med” (1.5) and a solid “Chicago Fire.” Over on The CW “iZombie” improved to a 0.6, but we’ve grown somewhat skeptical of these ratings since they tend to adjust down.
The losers – The lead-in to “iZombie” in “The Flash” dropped down to a 1.4, which was somewhat surprising given the love that was out there for the King Shark character. Still, it’s not horrible news. We’d be a little more worried for “The Muppets,” which seems headed back to puppet shows with a 0.8, or a declining “Limitless” over on CBS (1.1). The latter show felt safe at one point, but we’re not so sure anymore given that “Code Black” has been steady and even shows on Friday night are pulling in these sort of numbers.
