‘Shameless’ season 6, episode 8 preview: The latest Emmy Rossum revelations

Shameless -First things first with “Shameless,” let’s start this article off with a little bit of a programming note: There is no new episode airing on Showtime next week. While the series was apparently content to run against the Super Bowl, they are not as interested in airing against the Academy Awards. We wonder for the most part here if Showtime is a little more concerned when it comes to prestige viewers here than sports fans. Their assumption? That the majority of the people who are watching the Oscars would be the same sort of people who would check out Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy, and the rest of the gang.

When the show does return next week, we’ll be seeing everything from Frank getting involved in suspicious behavior to more relationship drama. What in the world is going on here? If we had to try to explain it, we’d probably do so with the following:

“Sean catches Will with one of Carl’s (Ethan Cutkosky) guns and Fiona bears the brunt.”

This episode is in some ways going to be fun, but there are going to be some major issues with the gun drama that, more than likely, will be incredibly far-reaching. It’s something that we are looking forward to diving into more and more over the course of the next two weeks. That’s the funny thing about the timing of the next new episode here: There’s plenty of time to sit around and speculate on the final few episodes! We just hope that at some point, some characters start to get it all together.
