MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 5, episode 13 video: A time jump changes everything

The first half of “Awkward” season 5 gave us an opportunity to see what the future had in store for Jenna Hamilton and many of her other fellow classmates in Palos Hills; now, we’re going to see what they’ve made of themselves.

As it turns out, some of these people are definitely not in the same sort of place that you would have assumed they would be. In the case of Matty, for example, he’s holding a … baby? What in the world does this mean? You’ve also got Sadie still talking about Sergio, Jake looking like he’s some sort of fancy bartender despite not even being 21, and a woman accidentally misreading Jenna’s “vibe” and trying to kiss her.

There are many different ways in which a trailer can be produced: For story, for drama, or for humor. In this case, it’s mostly for the sake of the third thing since the network’s really not tipping their hat here to what many of the stories are going to be. To go along with that, they also don’t really confirm one way or another if this is going to be the end of the show.

For now, what we’re the most excited about is that these characters have grown up and are no longer in high school. This will mark a pretty good chance to see how that changes them, and if they are prepared for the frustrations of the real world, which often go beyond just relationship issues or not being at the top of the popularity food chain.
