‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7 spoilers: Is beginning of the end near for Stefan, Caroline?
One of the interesting things about this current season of “The Vampire Diaries” is that structurally, we know where we’re going through the remainder of the episodes. It’s a case of knowing the beginning (where we started) and the end (the course of events in the flash-forward), but almost nothing in the middle.
Luckily, we’re going to find out some more information about that courtesy of the synopsis below for “I Would for You,” the potential winter finale for the show airing on March 5:
“While Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore) search for a magical herb that can keep him hidden from Rayna (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff), Damon (Ian Somerhalder) comes up with his own plan to take her down for good. However, while at The Armory, Bonnie (Kat Graham) makes a shocking discovery about Rayna that brings Damon’s plan to a screeching halt. Elsewhere, a conversation with Caroline (Candice King) leaves Stefan questioning their future together, while Matt (Zach Roerig) decides it may be time to truly take a stand against the vampires of Mystic Falls. Finally, as the season’s middle chapter draws to a close, Damon’s desire to take himself out of the game ramps up as he races to complete unfinished business with Stefan and Bonnie.”
What we mean here by “winter finale” is that if this is the last of a run of several episodes for the show, it will likely return in late March / early April and air the rest of the season out on a weekly basis. In terms of events, we knew that something was going to happen to push Caroline and Stefan apart, just as we also knew that there would be something to make Rayna even more of a danger. Eventually, something will make Damon think that the best thing that he can do is go to sleep.
