Rita Ora: Stuck in the middle between ‘The X Factor,’ ‘The Voice UK’
While there are many times where sourced British tabloid articles have a tendency to make things up / heavily distort them at the very least, this time around, there does appear to be some legitimacy to the talk that Rita Ora could be in the middle of a battle between “The X Factor” and the British version of “The Voice” to secure her as a judge for an upcoming season of either show.
Speaking per The Sun, though, the “RIP” singer made it clear that she really is not leading so much one way or another as she is more or less seeing where some of her options end up taking her:
“I hope they keep fighting over me, I don’t mind that at all. I don’t know what is going on but I like it … “I haven’t made a decision, because I’ve been focusing on recording my new album I haven’t started discussions over anything.”
“The Voice” is moving over to ITV next year after being a part of the BBC for five seasons, and they are a show that needs to do some huge things to change up the format / the entertainment after what we’d say is a pretty lifeless and dull current season on the air. The talent pool also just is not there.
The latest season of “The X Factor” will premiere later this year; it may still be several months before that show confirms its judging panel, its hosting lineup, and all of the other finer details.
