‘Suits’ season 5, episode 14 preview: The ‘Self Defense’ story for Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht
The winter portion of “Suits” season 5 is only running for six short episodes, and the scary thing is that we are already at the halfway point. The case of Mike Ross is far from over, and as a matter of fact, we could see going into “Self Defense” next week a situation where Patrick J. Adams’ character decides that he wants to represent himself rather than put anyone else close to him in danger.
The synopsis below does make it clear, though, that despite whatever wishes Mike may have, Harvey is still going to do almost everything he can in order to preserve Mike’s future:
“As time runs out before the trial, Mike wants to represent himself while Harvey wants to lead the charge. To decide the issue, Harvey challenges Mike to a winner takes all showdown.”
This is going to be legal warfare in many ways, and as a result of that, we imagine that it will be more than entertaining. The entire batch of episodes so far this year has been.fantastic, and one of the main questions that the promo asks below (at least metaphorically) is if someone will turn on Mike when they sit down in front of a judge. Donna is the one in the spotlight now, but that could change by the time the story comes to a conclusion. After all, we don’t think that the name “Trevor” was dropped at the end of tonight’s episode for any reason other than a desire to include him in the future.
We’ll have some other news when it comes to the USA series soon; be on the lookout!
