NBC’s ‘The Voice’ notes: Jordan Smith’s album title; Sawyer Fredericks’ new video
We’ve been reported a little bit more frequently as of late about “The Voice,” so with that in mind, doesn’t it feel appropriate to at least share some stories regarding what a pair of former winners are up to! (Hey, if they’re not getting much promotion from the show / the labels, they deserve it somewhere.)
Jordan Smith’s new album title – For those wondering, you’re not going to have to wait long at all to get to hear some music from Jordan! As he shared on Twitter, his debut album is entitled “Something Beautiful,” and it is going to be available for purchase on March 18. This will make for a great chance to get the album out while the tenth season is airing, so maybe there’ll be a chance for a little bit of added promotion in there. We can hope, right?
Jordan’s had a nice run since the show ended, getting to perform a variety of different gigs. Given that he’s also apparently recorded a full album in here, it’s clear that he’s been a very busy guy!
Sawyer Fredericks’ new video – If we go back to the eighth season of the show, you have a very different sort of winner, a guy with a super-unique voice and a folksy sound who could float through a lot of different genres. Now, you can see the first music video for his song “Take It All” below, courtesy of Yahoo! TV. Enjoy it.

#TakeItAll MV is a must watch. Sawyer is exactly where we expect him to be- on the sidelines vocally weaving magic into a lyrical tale of life, love, paths taken/not taken. Sawyer is a gifted songwriter full of empathetic tunes that leave us reeling and searching for our hearts he takes with him by the last note. Thank you Sawyer, Dan Romer, and The Lovely Lights for stealing our hearts, once again. #TeamSawyer

Sawyer’s new video #TakeItAll is one that I have watched over and over again. It’s such a beautiful video about love, heartache, regrets, choices, and the one thing many of us wish for, the chance to do it over again. #SawyerFredericks is a musical genius!! He deserves more recognition than he has gotten by his record label!!!
Since the Voice, Sawyer has been very busy!! He has put out his 4 song EP, his LP is due out hopefully this spring. According to a recent article Sawyer’s part on the LP is done. It would be great if there was more priority put on getting his LP released so his fans can appreciate it. Sawyer has been the opening act for the bands Good Old War, A Great Big World, and most recently Langhorne Slim and The Law, all of which are well respected bands. He has performed at the St. Jude Gala to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. This event included many “big” name bands as well as Sawyer. He recently performed at a benefit to raise money for art supplies for underfunded schools. Sawyer wrote #ForeverWrong, which is on the soundtrack to best selling author Mitch Albom’s latest book “The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto” It’s a beautiful song about the 2 main characters in the book. Sawyer has performed at several State Fairs and music festivals. On Valentine’s Day he performed, for the first time with his band, at a place where he sang on open mic nights when he was younger. It was an awe-inspiring and amazing performance!!! I can’t even come up with the right words to describe this performance, it was that good!!! Sawyer is that good!! He is magic and every song is filled with emotion that Sawyer sings from his heart. There are other performances I know I’ve forgotten.??
Sawyer is the real deal, and he has nowhere to go but up, and that’s the direction he’s going. His fan base includes people from every age group, from all over the world and counting. Each time he performs his fan base gets bigger and bigger.?
I believe Sawyer will be the first successful singer/songwriter the Voice has had in the 10 or 11 years it’s been airing!!!!!!
Anyone who hasn’t listened to Sawyer Fredericks, go to YouTube where you will find hundreds of videos of him singing, from a very young age to the present. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!!!??✌️❤️

I LOVE SAWYER!!! Dying to hear about HIS new album. I love his music video too :) Seems a little unfair to me that Jordan’s album is already available for pre-order and we’ve still yet to hear a peep about the release date for Sawyer’s album. It was kind of cool that his EP was a surprise release to tide over his rabid fans like myself, but they had better not take the same approach with his album. They need to promote it and get it out there to be heard by the masses.

Sawyer’s new #TakeItAll video blew me away, his emotional lyrics, angelic voice and mere presence in it keep the audience engaged, not to overlook the angst, pain, and joy shown by other actors in this video. Hands down to all that were a part of creating it or helped contribute to the song. Sawyer is on his way to superstardom. I have watched the video hundreds of times and the exact storyline keeps me guessing, but that’s part of what keeps it original and intriguing. From the different shirts to the drive to same dirt road and change of vehicles and locations, there are so many hidden clues to potential stories that keeps the imagination flowing into whatever the viewer decides to create. Only thing that can be known for sure is there is a great love story in there. Maybe someday Sawyer can star in a movie to fill in the missing pieces, lol. Whatever he does he has the magic touch and never lets his fans down. Anticipating his full length CD and tour which hopefully will be VERY soon. Thanks for letting others know about his video, Sawyer has had little promotion in regards to tons of things he has done after the show and has scheduled in the future including some this week and upcoming weeks/months. Just can’t get enough of Sawyer.

The only thing that would make Sawyer’s new video better would be more Sawyer! He has grown up so much since he won Season 8 in May. He has also written some excellent songs since then. I hope he has a chance to share some of them in the upcoming season of The Voice.

Yeah, me too :) I hope The Voice brings him back this season to perform another song from his album, maybe Lovers Still Alone if that is his second single (which I hope it is). Or even better, bring back Mia and Sawyer to do Stranger :) Can’t wait for the full album!!!
