‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6, episode 15 review: Caleb, the Liars fight back

PLL -

For much of the past few episodes of “Pretty Little Liars” season 6, we have seen the Liars be tormented in one form or another. Sometimes it is by the new threat that is present in Rosewood, and at other times it is merely the result of some of the nonsense they deal with in this town … or how everyone has some sort of terrible secret.

For example, remember Yvonne? Well, it just so happens that she is keeping secrets from everyone courtesy of a secret folder. To think, she was just some poor fire victim who was getting some help from Toby. It is never that simple, is it? She’s one of many new characters who is clearly up to something.

The good news is that tonight does mark at least some sort of victory for Team Liars over Team Mystery Villain, as Caleb managed to send a hack over to destroy their computer system. This is turning out to be a good year for Tyler Blackburn’s character, given the fact that he also had a chance in this episode to further along that relationship with Spencer.

Now, let’s turn to the negatives. We still don’t find Sara Harvey that compelling a villain, and we don’t think a secret exit is enough to really accuse her of anything. Also, threatening Emily’s eggs? We didn’t think that this was really that crazy or shocking of a secret, and sending a threat over via egg carton may be one of the cheesiest things that we’ve seen on this show in recent memory. Grade: B-.
