ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Desperate Housewives’ alum Ricardo Chavira signs up

At this point in one week’s time, you are finally going to get a chance to see the return of “Scandal” season 5. With that, there are going to be some new faces stopping by!

Who is going to be one of them? According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, you are going to get a chance to see none other than Ricardo Chavira of “Desperate Housewives” fame come aboard the ABC series for what we’d say is an important role. He will first appear in the February 18 episode, which is the second one back for the show after a return from hiatus. Isn’t that tremendous news? We’d certainly say so.

With that being said, we also have to remind you of the way of things for executive producer Shonda Rhimes: She doesn’t like to give details away of pretty much anything. With that in mind, we’re stuck in a relative sea of ambiguity in terms of what the role is going to be. What we hope is that it is someone who will come into contact with Olivia Pope & Associates, and as a result of that give us some really great insight when it comes to some of our main characters. After all, there are a wide array of people we haven’t seen huge stories for in quite some time, and we’d still love to see something big coming courtesy of the Marcus character.
