‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: Is Walter about to interfere with Happy, Toby’s relationship?

The second season of “Scorpion” has given us a lot of advancement so far in the relationship between Happy and Toby, and that’s been great to see. However, could there be some other roadblocks coming up that need to be managed? Based on some of the first details below for the February 22 episode “Adaptation,” it’s certainly possible.

For now, the CBS synopsis below offers up some additional insight into what you can expect to see:

“While Team Scorpion works to stop an influx of drugs being smuggled into the country via drones, Walter gives Happy and Toby an ultimatum on their new relationship.”

This episode will also feature the return of Penn Jillette as the couples counselor for Walter and Toby, so it’s pretty clear that they will be in there for more than a single episode. Hopefully, this means that we’re going to get a chance to see some back-and-forth about the Happy / Toby situation in counseling, since it’s pretty clear to us anyway that there are some major things that need to be worked through when it comes to Walter’s philosophy on it. Does he think that them being together will complicate missions? It’s possible, mostly because we’ve seen that sort of thing happen several times in the past on other shows. Our response to that, however, is always going to be that more often than not, we think that being together will only make the two stronger, since it could convince them to fight for more of what they believe in. (A lot of that’s just speculation, but you get our drift…)
