‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6, episode 12 video: Emily still struggles with grief

Everyone has their own way of dealing with loss, and for Emily Fields on “Pretty Little Liars,” part of that could be her fear of looking death in the face. It’s interesting given how she would be better equipped to deal with it than some others given her history, but in the sneak peek below for Tuesday night’s new episode, you can see her doing what she can to refuse going to see her late father’s plot, which she has not done since the funeral.

Instead, she tells her mother that she is doing what she can to look after Ali given everything that she is going through in the wake of losing Charlotte. The character / onetime “A” was killed off in the closing minutes of the winter premiere, and we know that much of the second episode will be fixated on the investigation … just not this particular preview. This is a little more personal.

One thing that is important to remember here is that Emily is still hiding something from the rest of the characters, and that is something that she may not be altogether keen to reveal to some other members of the cast. When will the truth come out? Hopefully over the next several episodes; for now, she is the most mysterious of the Liars when it comes to just what she has been up to over the past five years. She was working as a bartender before making the trip back to Rosewood. We don’t know at the moment what she will be doing back in the city.
