‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Hart of Dixie’ alum Wilson Bethel aboard!
Are there any fans of Wilson Bethel out there? Fresh off of a memorable run as Wade of “Hart of Dixie” and the ABC summer show “The Astronaut Wives Club,” the actor has now landed one of his next big roles … specifically on ABC’s smash “Hot to Get Away with Murder.”
According to TVLine, Bethel has been booked for the role of Charles Mahoney, a young man with an Ivy League education who is the son of Wallace (Adam Arkin, “Sons of Anarchy”) and also Sylvia, a tough socialite (Roxanne Hart, “Hung”). These three characters are going to be around for a little while, judging from what creator Pete Nowalk had to say to the website:
“The Mahoney family plays a really big part in a legal case in our last six episodes … They’re very wealthy people. It’s a murder case, and it involves Annalise in a big way.”
As for specifically what Annalise’s involvement really is, that remains to be seen. We do hope that it will give the show a chance to at least slow things down slightly since the siblings case made everything uber-intense for a while, and this is a show more than any other on TV that probably needs to take a deep breath and realize that sometimes, it is better to show the softer, more-emotional side to some of the characters.
We are going to have some further news hopefully in the near future, so be on the lookout for more! The show returned to ABC with new episodes on February 11.
