‘Homeland’ season 6 to be set in New York City; Showtime mum on Rupert Friend’s Quinn
The network’s own programming head David Nevins also dropped some welcome news when it comes to the primary location for season 6: New York City. The show is coming back home to America! The final two years have featured the series filming almost exclusively in Germany and South Africa; even back in season 3, the show split some time between the United States and Morocco. We are sure that giving us more of a domestic setting is great news for star Claire Danes and the rest of the cast, giving that they don’t have to pack up and move somewhere else for at least half a year again on the other side of the world.
While it is nice to have some of these details, the reality still is that “Homeland” is far away from premiering; you’re probably not going to see new episodes until the fall. Season 6 should begin filming later this spring.
While you wait, you can head over here to see some of the latest news on the show, including some reaction to the finale!
