NBC’s ‘The Voice’ winner Jordan Smith engaged to Kristen Denny
Mrs. Carter: Jordan Smith has yet another thing to be excited about in 2016!
It’s pretty clear that the past month has been a whirlwind and then some for the young singer. First, he won “The Voice” after being the favorite on Adam Levine’s team for most of the season. Then, he performed the National Anthem at the NHL Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium. Now, we’re hearing the news that he and longtime girlfriend Kristen Denny are now engaged. Jordan himself confirmed the news in a post on Twitter, which means that the two can now spend much of the rest of the year planning an upcoming wedding. Given that Jordan also has a debut album to work on plus some more performances, this is going to be a rather busy time for him.
Smith spoke often throughout the “Voice” process about the support and love he received from Denny during the production of the show, and it’s glad to see that they remain strong and committed to each other on the other side of. Reality TV fame does change some people, and it can challenge some relationships.
Jordan’s engagement is one of two great stories regarding former winners of “The Voice” that have come out in the past 24 hours; we’ve also learned via People Magazine that Craig Wayne Boyd and his fiancee Taylor Borland have welcomed a baby girl named Dakota Lynne Boyd. Congrats to both couples!
As for “The Voice,” the tenth season should premiere on NBC at some point in February.
