‘Chicago Fire’ season 4: New ‘The Beating Heart’ photo teases Herrmann’s fate
Are we going to see Herrmann emerge all right when “Chicago Fire” returns to NBC? We’re not entirely sure that we can confirm that just yet, but the latest photo released by the network does at least make one thing rather clear: You’re at least going to have a chance to see the character still breathing.
The photo above is from the upcoming January 5 episode “The Beating Heart,” which is airing an hour earlier than usual at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time and will kick off what is a three-part crossover event with “Chicago Med” and “Chicago PD.” You have to assume that he will emerge from this okay since the worst seems to be over, and he is back receiving some proper treatment following the stabbing.
Can Firehouse 51 work with Intelligence to resolve what happened? That’s one of many questions going into this story, and the fact that it is Herrmann in danger holds an additional bit of significance when you consider that Molly’s is for the most part the common thread that drives all of these shows together. It is the common meeting place, and it’s where Dick Wolf and company can find so many unique ways to throw characters’ worlds into each other without much effort.
Given that we do still have more than two weeks until this episode comes on the air, you better believe that we’re going to have some more updates on it in the near future! Stay tuned for further news all about the crossover and more.
