‘Galavant’ season 2: The gang’s all here in new cast photo!

The second season of “Galavant” is premiering on ABC come Sunday, January 3, and given that many of the cast are not going to be around to promote the show over the holidays (not that there would be many places to actually promote the show with so many places on hiatus), now is the ripe time to do so! This is why we feel like the network released today the official cast photo for the second season.

This image is fun! You’ve got noble poses, Vinnie Jones looking like he means business, Madalena striking an evil pose, and Timothy Omundson’s beard. What else could you possibly want? The image is fun, festive, and provides a nice little window into at least the personalities of the characters.

For those of you who really care, of course it’s not canon! We’re not sure when you’re going to see all of these people in the same room, given that Galavant is off with Richard, Isabella is trapped at present, and Madalena is reveling in her new power. Over the course of ten episodes / many musical numbers, we’re hopefully going to have a chance to see them come together.

While we haven’t had a chance to see too much of the second season just yet (we have a few episodes we’re saving for the holiday break), every bit of footage we’ve seen so far suggests that the trademark humor and enthusiasm of the first season is still here in a big way. Let’s just say that there is a reason we nominated this show as among the most underrated in our annual CarterMatt Awards.
