New ‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 footage (albeit not much) in new HBO video

Given that we are still more than four months away from “Game of Thrones” coming on the air, we know that HBO is not in all that much of a hurry to release some of the latest footage from the show. Even just a few seconds is something sacred.

With that in mind, we now present to you … a few seconds. Seriously, that is all the network is giving us at the moment, but the video below does a great job of looking back at everything that the network did right in 2015, and some of what they have planned in the near future in between “Veep,” “Silicon Valley,” “Girls,” “Ballers,” and new series like “Vinyl” and “Divorce,” which marks the return of Sarah Jessica Parker to the network for the first time since “Sex and the City.” The “Game of Thrones” footage is mostly Dany-based, though you can also see Cersei and Tommen.

Is there a big omission in the video? We’d say so, and we’d cast a big-ol’ stare over at “The Leftovers.” Granted, the network has not made a decision on the future of that show just yet, but we feel like it could get a spike in viewership from season 2 to season 3 given the sort of universal praise that has been handed down by us and others.

Even if for some terrible reason the show does not return, we still feel confident that the network has a wonderful future ahead of it. With the roster and the acclaim that they consistently have, we don’t know how in the world you can say anything otherwise right now.
