‘Reign’ season 3, episode 8 preview: Return date, teases for Adelaide Kane drama

Tonight marked the last episode of “Reign” on The CW for the rest of the year, so we know that with that comes many questions … including when the show is going to be coming back. We’re happy to be able to provide some sort of answer to that.

Per the promo below, you are going to see the series starring Adelaide Kane return on Friday, January 8, and you will see an episode to go along with this that raises the stakes in a big, dramatic way. Spain is coming, and with that come more threats for Mary and her kingdom. This has been a show about perseverance for the most part, and that will almost certainly escalate as we start to get near the next batch of episodes of the show.

If there is one thing we’d say with confidence about the story of “Reign” moving forward, it is that the series totally needs to bring it. With the ratings being what they are right now it is being marked for danger come May, and this season only has eighteen episodes as a whole. The show will lose its Friday timeslot next year to “The Vampire Diaries” / “The Originals,” and no return date for the remainder of its installments has been set yet.
