‘Luther’ season 4 trailer: Idris Elba is all sorts of awesome
It may not be Thanksgiving over in the United Kingdom this week (or we should say that it is not commonly celebrated), but that is not stopping the BBC from giving out what we like to think of here in North America as a holiday gift: A brand-new trailer for the upcoming fourth season of “Luther“!
If there is one simple way to describe the minute-long video below, it is this: Awesome. Idris Elba is front and center here, and we get some more evidence that John is back from the torment he suffered in the past to solve crime in the only way that he knows how. The best part of the entire video is Luther commenting that he is “the police” when asked precisely who it is that he works for.
This special is going to air as a two-part event on BBC One starting on December 15, but the good news is that viewers in America are not going to be forced to wait very long, either. The show is going to air as a one-night event on BBC America December 17, which means that you should probably cancel whatever plans that you have for the night in hopes of checking it live. This is not the sort of show that you want someone else to spoil for you out there.
We’re going to be covering “Luther” extensively over the course of the next several weeks, so our advice to you is to keep checking back for more!
