‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 7, episode 8 preview: Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, and further complications
The seventh season of “The Vampire Diaries” has been so far a heck of a complicated family drama, and we do not see that changing at any point in the near future. Next week’s new episode is entitled “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,” which sounds like you’re going to get a little bit of romance coupled with some of that … maybe. The synopsis below via The CW makes us think that there is going to be more heartbreak than anything else:
“As Julian (guest star Todd Lasance) and Lily (guest star Annie Wersching) throw a party to celebrate Mary Louise (guest star Teressa Liane) and Nora’s (guest star Scarlett Byrne) anniversary, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) set in motion a risky plan to eliminate a new threat posed by Julian. Meanwhile, following a major revelation uncovered by Valerie (guest star Elizabeth Blackmore), Caroline (Candice King) is forced to face her new reality, even as it threatens to destroy her relationship with Stefan.”
In looking at the relationship between Caroline and Stefan, obviously learning that Valerie’s child was his will change how she feels about the situation, especially given everything that she has going on at the moment with Alaric and the surprises from a week ago. This story sets up everything that is coming in the weeks ahead.
What’s one big question we have? Let’s just say that it revolves around Annie Wersching’s character, given that she is not a series regular. With that, could she be departing at any given point? Time will tell.
