‘Luther’ season 4 video: Check out first teaser for Idris Elba drama’s return!

Even though the BBC has still for whatever reason decided against giving “Luther” a proper season 4 premiere date for the time being, we are still pleased to say that the network is doing what they can to promote the Idris Elba series. How else do you explain the new sneak preview below? It doesn’t really give anything away, but it is profound in its simplicity. Also, we could listen to Elba’s voice all day.

For those of you who are interested in getting something a little bit more in-depth, we can give you as well the extended synopsis for the first part of the show’s return. This comes via SpoilerTV, and while there are no major spoilers in it, be advised still that there is information that you may not be that interested in knowing. Some out there do prefer to go into these episodes blind:

“On a leave of absence from the police force, Luther is laying low in a rundown cottage on the edge of England. But a visit from his old colleagues at the Met brings a shocking piece of news that draws him back to London in search of the truth. Meanwhile, a gruesome serial killer has struck the city. With a trail of clues leading from one crime scene to the next, Schenk and his team must work out the twisted logic that connects each victim. But this murdering mastermind is more than a match for the police, outsmarting them at every step.

“It’s not long before Luther is back in the Bullpen, determined to steal a march on the killer before it’s too late.”
