Ratings: ‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 solid with two episodes; ‘Quantico’ fails to gain (11/15/2015)
We’re not even going to pretend in kicking off this latest ratings update that Sunday was the most eventful night in the history of TV. Ratings-wise. There wasn’t much to write home about in one way or another, but we’re going to do our best to touch on some of this regardless. (We should note that “CSI: Cyber” aired outside of primetime, so we really do not have much to say about it at the moment.
The winners – While “Once Upon a Time” (1.6 in the 18-49 demographic) was really unchanged from its performance from a week ago, it did manage to improve ABC’s performance in the 9:00 p.m. timeslot. This is the best that it has been with a scripted program at any point this season. Isn’t that at least something to celebrate? We want to think so.
Elsewhere, new episodes of “Family Guy” (1.4) and “The Last Man on Earth” (1.2) showed some improvement compared to where they were a week ago, but these are still shows that tend to post weaker numbers without the NFL around.
The losers – “Quantico” (1.3) managed to be reasonably steady versus the last episode, but we’re still putting it here because this was the first week that it actually had a solid lead-in. Unfortunately, it didn’t make much of a difference. The good news is that it proves that the show is fairly independent of a lead-in, which means it could air anywhere. The only other good news is that this is still an improvement compared to “Revenge” last year.
