‘Reign’ season 3, episode 5 reaction: Toby Regbo says farewell to Franics

Even though you may have known that a particular event was coming at the end of Friday night’s new episode of “Reign,” that does not make it any less hard. Francis is gone from the show after one of Nostradamus’ visions actually came true, and it leaves Mary in a devastated and shocked state, one where she has to try to figure out the proper way to move forward with not just her life, but also her time on the throne.

Before we do start to move forward, we are pleased to have at least some sort of closure on this story courtesy of the series’ star in Toby Regbo. Regbo made the following statement below on his Twitter account after the game, which was his way of offering up some sort of closure following everything that transpired. He was thrilled to be a part of the show for so long, and also of course grateful to the fans.

So where does his own career go from here? That is an interesting question, and one that may take a little bit of time in order to answer. What we know for now is that Regbo is departing the series a time in which he can dive into pilot season if he so chooses, and find a new home for the fall. That was one last gift that the show’s writers and producers decided to give us at the moment. If he was on the full season, many shows may have been cast before he could start to look … provided that this is what he wanted to do.
