‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9, episode 9 preview: Can Sheldon and Amy be friends again?

Big Bang -During Thursday night’s new episode of “The Big Bang Theory,” what we feel like Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler learned more than anything else that the dating world is really tough. For Amy, the problem was mostly that she found the one person in the universe not named Sheldon who was obsessed with him. Sheldon, meanwhile, met maybe the one other person in the universe beyond Amy who would have been interested in him, but he turned her away (hilariously) because she arrived later than the advertised time.

So moving into the next Thanksgiving episode of the show, these two are at least going to try to mend fences. It doesn’t mean that they are going to be on the same page romantically, but for all of the ‘shippers that are out there, we know that this is a start. You can check out the full synopsis right away below:

“Sheldon and Amy try hanging out as friends when they spend Thanksgiving together at the aquarium. Also, Wolowitz reluctantly agrees to volunteer at the soup kitchen with Bernadette, Raj and Emily, and Penny discovers that Leonard knows more about her than she thought.”

By around the time we make it to the end of this episode, our hope is mostly that we will know better if Sheldon and Amy can actually be friends, and then from there whether or not they have a hope of getting together again.

Also, isn’t it nice to see Emily again? Despite being made a (fractional) series regular, Laura Spencer has not had too much to do yet this season.
