TV Quick Hits: ‘Quantico’ gets ‘Happy Endings’ star; Elsa actress joins ‘Limitless’; ‘Real Housewives’ expansion
“Quantico” snags Eliza Coupe – Let’s start this particular edition of TV Quick Hits with some very great news for fans of ABC’s “Quantico.” Eliza Coupe is checking in!
According to TVLine, the former “Happy Endings” and “Benched” star will play Hannah Wyland, an FBI agent who, per the official description, “can turn on the soap, sex and romance, but at heart she’s a hardcore career agent with countless notches in her belt.” There’s also a series-regular option in here if she turns out to be popular with production and the show’s fans. We’re happy to see more of Eliza on TV, but it is surprising given that she is known more for comedic roles.

Georgina Haig joins “Limitless” – You may know her best as Elsa from “Once Upon a Time,” or from her time on “Fringe.” Here, io9 reports that she will be playing Piper, a woman who comes from a devastating past who has since trained in combat and will do whatever she needs to do in order to survive. She could at times be a friend to Brian … but at other times an enemy.
New “Real Housewives” – It’s been forever since Bravo expanded this franchise, but they are now doing so with two shows: “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” which premieres on January 17 with Gizelle Bryant, Katie Rost, Karen Huger, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, Robyn Dixon and Ashley Darby, and “The Real Housewives of Dallas.” The premiere date for the latter, and the cast, are not confirmed.
Do we really need more editions of the franchise? Not really. In particular, we’re not sure how many people are going to be aware of Potomac enough to watch. We also cannot imagine that community, which likes its feeling of exclusivity, may be all that happy about this.
