‘Suits’ season 5 spoilers: News on Patrick J. Adams directing, more Jack Soloff
It’s not often that we have much in the way of “Suits” news in the fall, and the reasoning for that is simple: We’re still months removed from the show returning!
However, we do enjoy the show to such an extent that we recently wrote thousands of words about it for a CarterMatt Extended article, so we’re going to continue to do our best to pass along whatever information that we hear during the offseason. This time around, our source is someone who knows this world backwards and forwards better than anyone in creator Aaron Korsh.
Korsh recently did a lengthy Q&A session on Twitter with fans of the show, and here are some of the most important things worth noting.
1. You will see more of Jack Soloff – While he’s not going to be in every episode of the back half of the season, Korsh confirmed that you will see him multiple times. Great news for all of those who love rivalries.
2. Patrick J. Adams will direct again – Specifically, Adams is going to be helming the 14th episode of the season, and this marks the second straight season in which he has received this opportunity. Korsh noted that fellow cast member Gabriel Macht wanted to direct another episode, as well, but was not able to due to scheduling issues.
3. The finale is not set in stone just yet – Or, this was the state of things a few days ago when Korsh answered a question on the subject. He and the writers had some ideas, but were still working through them.
“Suits” should return early next year with the final six episodes of season 5; no official return date has been set yet.
