‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: Who is in a secret society?
Instead, there is a different secret society at the center of the show’s upcoming November 3 episode, one that Ducky is going to reveal himself to be a member of. Want to get some other news all about it? Then take a look at the synopsis below:
“The NCIS murder case of a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander forces Ducky to reveal his participation in a secret society that solves cold cases, on NCIS, Tuesday, Nov. 3 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. Jessica Walter guest stars as Judith McKnight and Richard Riehle guest stars as Walt Osorio, both members of the secret society.”
Since we haven’t had too much of a consistent Ducky story so far this season, we’re excited to see what the show does here. It’s certainly going to put him in the forefront much in the same way that “Lockdown” did Abby. What the show is doing a pretty good job at now is giving you stories that put each one of the characters in the spotlight. The start of season 13 was pretty Gibbs-heavy, but they are certainly changing that around now.
Now, we’re just going to hope for a big Jimmy Palmer story coming up at some point before we make it to the end of the season…

I’m still hoping for a Tony story. The author of this article doesn’t even mention this. I guess Gibbs constant scowling at Tony is his big story for the season. The first two episodes were Gibbs, Gibbs, Gibbs and more Gibbs. The third was McGee and Bishop. The fourth was Vance and Gibbs. The fifth was Abby. Maybe the next one will at least be team centric, although apparently McGee and Delilah will dominate the B plot, but my money’s on Gibbs to save the day as usual. Next, apparently Ducky will have his day. Hmmmm – Palmer and Tony – Palmer has been on long enough to have his usual schtick of sticking his foot in his mouth and being intimidated by Gibbs and Tony has gotten his usual clownish writing with Gibbs showing extra animosity towards him. Sucks to be a Tony fan for sure and I’m guessing Palmer fans aren’t thrilled so far either.

There will be coming for more Tony when Jeanne comes back. The show is giving all characters lights to shine and of course, since Gibbs is the MAIN character since day 1 he’s featured more. Tony fans are constantly crying and whining and it’s getting harder to ignore it. If you’re unhappy with the way the writers and showrunners make their show then just change the channel. Tony is featured a lot in the episodes and although I’m not one of them, there are many people who are happy to not have Tony front and centre all the time just like there are people who don’t want Gibbs or anyone else to be front and centre. This show can’t be about one person only and hopefully never will. It’s a great mix and it’s so good that characters that are not Gibbs or Tony get attention too.

On the one hand you excuse the show for featuring Gibbs, Gibbs, and more Gibbs, because “of course Gibbs is the MAIN character”. Then you acknowledge that there are “people who don’t want Gibbs or anyone else to be front and centre”, also “people who are happy to not have Tony front and centre”. The only people not getting satisfaction with these wishes are the Tony fans. And FYI, I have been changing the channel as many former Tony/NCIS fans that I’ve been in touch with have also chosen to do. IMO it’s not a great mix anymore. It used to be until Mr. Glasberg and company decided that absolutely every morsel of drama, every flattering moment, every element of suspense, and every noble virtue had to ultimately center around seeing Gibbs response, reaction, pain, heroism, and/or angst. They’ve attempted to replace Tony with McGee and that is something of a yawn fest. They really have thrown Tony in the trash and believe me, this show is no longer must watch for me on any given Tuesday night because I know that Tony is no longer a character that the writers are allowed to care about or flatter. I wonder if when Jeanne appears if Tony will even have much to do besides squirm while McGee or Gibbs handle the evening’s situation.
