‘Finding Carter’ season 2, episode 15 review: The latest Ben Wallace brouhaha
How much should Carter and her family trust Ben Wallace on “Finding Carter“? From the moment we first learned about this character, it was understandable to want to keep him at arm’s length … and for many reasons. His ties are more to Lori, he has a difficult past, and is not used to people showing him genuine love. Therefore, it takes a lot of time for him to get his guard down.
One of the main pushes of Tuesday night’s new episode was seeing Carter fire off an accusation in the direction of Ben after Grant supposedly saw him take one of David’s watches. However, it turned out that this didn’t actually happen, and the watch was in David’s possession by the end of the hour. We don’t really blame anyone for feeling the way that they did. Ben has the history that makes you want to worry, and for Grant, he may psychologically worry about having someone else enter his life from a troubled past.
Ben eventually went back to Lori’s, packed up many of his things, and departed … and that is where we’re leaving that story off for now. The show now may as well be titled “Finding Ben Wallace,” and our guess is that he is currently guest-starring on “Awkward” as Matty’s secret twin brother.
Aside from Ben, the latest chapter in the Max – Taylor – Gabe story had Gabe deciding to depart the friendship / relationship-that-he-wanted after Taylor sent Max on a recruiting mission in order to ensure that he and Gabe could be friends. It’s not exactly the juiciest story for Taylor that we’ve ever seen, and it did slow down an episode that was more interesting this time with the focus on Carter and Ben. Grade: B-.
