‘Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance’ rankings: How will Woo, Varner, or Kelley handle a tribe swap?
Wednesday night’s episode of “Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance” is for us going to be one of the most intriguing that we’ve had a chance to see yet, and there are a variety of different reasons why. We’ve still got returning players and many interesting ones, but add to that the fact that we are doing something that has never been done before on the show in 31 seasons: Going from two tribes to three. It shifts everything, tears apart alliances, and challenges people to play on the fly.
Ultimately, what we’re trying to say here is that “it’s fun.” We have no clue what’s going to happen. Yesterday we ranked the ten members of Bayon, and we’re doing this again today with the eight people on Ta Keo. Let’s be clear here that we’re not so much ranking them now in terms of safety on their own tribe, but instead how we think they would fare in a tribe swap given the alliances that they have made.
8. Abi-Maria Gomes – While Abi does have the advantage of experience with the three-tribe format, she was also on a tribe in Tandang that never went to tribal council on “Survivor: Philippines.” We just think that with her struggles in the social game, there will be little incentive to keep her around.
7. Spencer Bledsoe – We cannot deny that he put himself in a terrible position at Ta Keo by not really sensing that the tide was turning against him. We do still think, though, that if he is swapped in with a few other Bayon people, he can flip and turn things around.
6. Kelly Wiglesworth – One of the interesting things that Shirin said in her exit interview is that Kelly was miserable most of her time out there, and really would not talk to anyone outside of her pre-game alliance. What happens if she is not paired up with some of them anymore? It could spell chaos.
5. Terry Deitz – At this point, Terry may be thought of as one of the leaders of the old-school alliance, and when you look at the group that he’s in, he is probably the biggest threat to actually win the game. If someone has a chance to take him out, won’t they consider it?
4. Peih-Gee Law – We don’t see Peih-Gee being an immediate target of anyone thanks to her having so many allies, but at the same time, we’re not sure that she is going to be considered indispensable to anyone, either.
3. Jeff Varner – To date, Varner has played a killer, super-entertaining game, one that we’d love to see continue for a while longer. Even though he probably is considered a social threat, he’s got so many allies that this point that we cannot imagine anyone wanting him gone.
2. Woo Hwang – Let’s face it: While Woo has a next-to-nothing chance of winning the game without making moves, he is not the person you are targeting anytime soon. He’ll be loyal to you, win challenges for you, and not really scheme to get you out. You keep this guy as long as you can.
1. Kelley Wentworth – We love the spot she’s in, given that she is moving from a mediocre-at-best position on Ta Keo to a better spot with new people. She’d probably get along well with many people on Bayon, and more than that, she’s got a hidden immunity idol nobody knows about.
