‘NCIS’ season 13 premiere video: Jon Cryer, Mark Harmon talk Dr. Taft and more
There are a variety of reasons to watch “NCIS” and its season premiere coming on Tuesday, whether it be the huge cliffhanger with Gibbs or finding out whether or not Tony and McGee can stop The Calling in its tracks.
Of course, there has also been a much-hyped guest star to go along with this in Jon Cryer, and this is the subject of the video below. In it, the former “Two and a Half Men” star (alongside series regulars Mark Harmon and Pauley Perrette) does a great job of detailing just where some of his love for the show has come from; his show started at the same time “NCIS” did, and he has told them over the years that he wants to do something. For a time, the joke was that he would play a dead body.
For us, one of the funniest parts about this whole video is Cryer saying that he has not had a chance to work yet with David McCallum; therefore, Ducky has not spent time with Ducky as of yet. As you would assume, this is clearly something that needs to change, since having this happen would be one of the most awesome things imaginable.
For those who have not heard, Cryer’s character is Dr. Taft, and he is a skilled surgeon who is in many ways responsible for bringing Agent Gibbs back after the shooting. He is a supremely confident character when it comes to his abilities to do medicine, and we’re just waiting to see how he handles himself outside of this particular environment.

I hope they don’t make Tony look too stupid this season. I really miss competent dedicated heroic Tony but unfortunately tptb prefer scape goat idiot Tony. I realize that the writers are attempting to convince us that McGee is THE replacement for Tony as the new second in command, but Gibbs and McGee scenes are a little like watching paint dry. I have this feeling that this will be Weatherly’s last season. The writers don’t even pretend to like DiNozzo anymore and I have a feeling they’re really going to paint him as the weak link this season, even more than in the past two seasons, in order to justify getting rid of him. I guess if you’re a Harmon or Murray fan things are awesome in the NCIS universe but it really sucks to be a Tony fan.

Cannot wait untill Tuesday night. It’s been a long summer. I’m intrigued by the changes hinted in my favorite, Gibbs, and also looking forward to adding Jon Cryer into the mix.
