‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: A new twist for judges’ houses

The new season of “The X Factor” UK is certainly something worth watching out for still, especially when it comes to the way that we are seeing the show continuing to flip and flop on some of their plans.

Take, for example, what the show originally planned to do having the judges’ houses twist take place at the same time live around the world. It was super-ambitious and bold, and we now know that it is not going to happen. Instead, this will be pre-recorded, and the contestants will be back in Britain for a live reveal that is even more theatrical and probably a little bit more heartbreaking.

Speaking per the Mirror, here is what a source had to say all about it:

“We’ve always planned to have a live element to Judges Houses, to give it more tension and drama. The biggest part of the show is the contestants’ reactions – finding out whether they have made it to the live shows and learning who the final 12 are.

“Now that we are finalising our plans this will all happen live from the studio in Wembley with all the judges and the contestants together, along with their friends and family.”

The purpose of this twist is more or less the same no matter when they happen to do it: The show has to try and figure out a way to keep spoilers from getting out about who the finalists are before live shows. This is a way to do just that!
