‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 2 promo teases killer reveal

The second season of ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder” is going to be premiering on ABC come Thursday, September 25, and based on the first promo that the network has put out there below, there are a variety of really crazy things coming up that they want you to be aware of. This of course begins with revealing the person responsible for the death of Rebecca.

Here’s the interesting thing about this promo, though: It still claims that finding out the killer is not the biggest surprise of the episode. Something is coming that is even crazier, and it may have Viola Davis’ Annalise Keating proclaiming that someone is a monster. Speculate away on that in the comments!

We should make it really clear here that we’re not really so much of a fan of how ABC markets the show, mostly because they make it seem like it is necessary for every episode to have a huge “OMG” moment that gets people talking on Twitter. We’d rather just focus on hyping up that this is a really good show versus going for the shock value. If every episode is an “OMG” moment, are there really any such moments at all here? Maybe we’re getting a little too meta in how we think about this, but it is on our mind.

As for hyping up some of the awards attention for Viola, we definitely understand that. When you have someone this good as a part of your cast, don’t you want to shout it from the nearest rooftop every chance that you possibly can?
