‘Ink Master’ season 6, episode 11 preview: Tattooing fingernails, Chris Blinston’s alliance falters
Every season of “Ink Master” likes to bring out a challenge that makes everyone’s skin crawl and this season of course will be no different. We’ve seen the artists head to the Coney Island side show a few times to tattoo eyelids and lips, and we’ve seen fear factor style tattoos where artists had to sit with scorpions and spiders on their bodies to draw out their tattoo designs… so what are the artists in for this time?
Next week on “Ink Master” we are going to see the artists tattooing an area of the body that we honestly thought couldn’t be tattooed – the fingernail. We don’t know how this is going to work since fingernails grow out and are replaced with new ones, but we are really curious to see if the ink is going to go so deep beneath the nail that it will actually ink the skin below. If that’s the case then this is going to be one of the coolest challenges we’ve ever seen. Although it’s not confirmed yet we are thinking this will be a detail related challenge since this is such a small, fine area to tattoo.
As far as the alliances go, there will be more implosion of the Chris Blinston alliance. After losing one of his alliance members tonight (you can check out our review here to see who went home since we don’t want to ruin it here for those who haven’t watched the episode yet), the remaining members are worried that Chris isn’t really working with them and that he’s just using them to get to the end… which is exactly what he’s doing. We are surprised that it’s taken so long for everyone on his team to figure it out, but now that they have we wonder if anyone’s going to jump ship? Even if they do abandon Chris, he is still pretty much a lock to win this game ever since taking out St. Marq a few weeks ago.
