‘The Muppets’ releases another Nathan Fillion promo!
We know that “The Muppets” itself is going to have some big-name guest stars when it premieres on ABC this fall, but they are not holding anything back in some of its promos, either. We’ve seen already ones featuring Nathan Fillion, Kerry Washington, and Patricia Heaton, and the latest one below puts the “Castle” star once again in the spotlight.
There is a nice dose of awkward humor in this promo, which is centered around what is going to be a familiar topic: Kermit the Frog’s relationship status. He and Miss Piggy called it quits before the start of the series, and now the two face the prospect of working together on a late-night show for the new series. Fillion plays the part here of fun commentator, and the two have some good banter. Nothing in here is necessarily out of the show’s tone, but it’s nice to see Nathan so game to do these little clips.
ABC does have some high hopes in this series, which has “The Big Bang Theory” executive producer Bill Prady and “3rd Rock from the Sun” alum Bob Kushell involved. The last time these characters were big, it was only a few years ago in the movies! There is also so much nostalgia attached to the likes of Kermit and Gonzo that fans would revolt if they felt that they were portrayed wrongly on the show itself.
Hopefully, we will have more news to share below the show premieres!
