‘Ink Master’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Alliances form, the judges get harsh
Moving into next week’s episode of “Ink Master” season 6 we are hoping for some fun challenges to shake up what was a bit of an uncomfortable episode this week. As we mentioned in our review, we felt a little uncomfortable watching Tyler Nolan flip off his canvas when he turned his back to explain his feelings about his tattoo, and then that action was followed up with the judges saying nothing.
If you are wanting to see more strategy and alliances forming then next week’s episode will be the one for you. We saw Craig working with Matt last week to target Chris and his alliance (made up of Chris, Dave and Tyler) and this week this dynamic will be pushed even further. This has never been a show that has used alliances to their advantage and we aren’t sure why since it could really help get people to the end – sometimes all you need is someone to point out that one little mistake before you put ink down to save you from elimination. Chris is out for himself, but he has Tyler and Dave helping him get to the end, where as on the other side of the house we have Craig and Matt playing a heavy strategic game to get out Chris’ helpers. Next week we will see Craig and Matt targeting Dave, which is a good move since Dave is a really strong artist that we think many of them are underestimating, but this preview makes us think that maybe Dave put the target on himself.
Also the judges are going to be ripping the artists to pieces next week in what looks like one of the harshest critiques of the season. We have Dave Navarro calling someone out and asking if they want to go home and we have Chris swearing at someone and telling them to leave. Are we really going to see someone go home in the style of Kyle Dunbar next week? We don’t think it’s going to escalate to that point, but we are sure none of the artists want to be sworn at and told to leave.
