‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6: Lucy Hale not departing, suggests season 7 is show’s last
The internet definitely does like to blow things out of proportion, and we know that this is what has happened when it comes to the talk of Lucy Hale supposedly leaving “Pretty Little Liars.” It feels like some out there have interpreted her comments about being done with the show “next October” (which come via an interview with V Magazine recently) as leaving the show this October. This is further evidence that there is a difference between using “this” and “next” in a sentence.
In a post on Twitter below, Hale denied some of the chatter, but what is more interesting to us than the denial or even some of her original comments here is seeing the divide that seems to exist between people on “Pretty Little Liars” and people working potentially behind the scenes. We’ve heard from multiple producers and other folks behind-the-scenes that season 7 is not necessarily the end, but then you have cast members saying that it is.
What’s going on with that? Some of it may have to do with the fact that many of the cast may only be under contract until the seventh season, and after that they may feel ready to move on and do other things. It’s a lot to ask someone to spend seven years of their lives chasing “A,” even if they are paid a handsome amount of money for it. The show is a huge commitment with long hours, and the cast is very young and will have chances to do other things.
Ultimately, we’ll just wait and see what happens after season 7. Nothing is firmly set in stone one way or another.
