‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: How will Captain Lance react to Sara’s return?

Arrow -

The fourth season of “Arrow” is going to see a wide array of different stories play out, and one of the biggest ones will take place around the fifth episode when Sara Lance is brought back from the dead. This is the same episode that is going to feature the much-hyped Constantine appearance, and in turn is going to potentially feature a very different side of Caity Lotz’s character than we’ve seen. If being revived changes you, we can only imagine what happens if you are brought back after that long in the ground.

When an event like this happens, it is obviously going to have reverberations for other people, as well. Just take a look at Quentin Lance as an example, a man who has lost his daughter on two occasions already. Is he even going to be able to process having her back now? This is something that Paul Blackthorne teases in a new interview with TVLine:

“Thanks to Laurel helping him see the light at the end of last season, Lance is back on the wagon for now, trying to keep on the straight and narrow,” Paul Blackthorne previews. “But that will of course be tested when Sara comes back from the dead. Because I think when your daughter’s coming back from the dead, she may not necessarily come back as quite the same person. Yeah, that’s going to be an issue for the family to deal with!’”

Hopefully Lance at least stays of the straight and narrow enough to keep his sobriety intact, as difficult as it may be to see his daughter as in some ways a ghost. We’re not entirely sure that we have spent as much time worried about a single character on this show as we have been Lance.
