‘Arrow’ season 4 notes: Oliver Queen’s past love; Stephen Amell on ‘WWE RAW’

Apparently, Felicity Smoak is not going to be the only Oliver Queen romance featured on “Arrow” season 4.

Following a recent deluge of other casting notices on the show, Entertainment Weekly reports that “Supernatural” actress Elysia Rotaru has signed on to recur as a new love interest for Stephen Amell’s character. She is someone still shrouded in mystery, but one thing to remember here right away is that we’re going to see Oliver somewhere new. Just take a look at what executive producer Marc Guggenheim had to say to the publication:

“We have a really great surprise for the season premiere for the flashbacks, and it’s made talking about the flashbacks very difficult … We pick up basically in real time. It’s been a number of months later since the last flashback. Oliver is in Coast City, as eagle-eyed viewers noted when he boarded the boat at the end of season 3.”

We do hope that this statement does ring true when it comes to the flashbacks, if for no other reason than that these have been one of the things that many viewers have found polarizing about the show as of late.  Let’s hope for something that proves to be relevant to the present, and for that “surprise” to be worthwhile.

As for other Amell news, we just figured we’d give you this little GIF of him from “WWE Raw” tonight, where he took on his longtime Twitter opponent Stardust in real life for a change.

Also, it was confirmed that Amell is actually going to wrestle Stardust himself at SummerSlam later this month, which means that he may officially be one of the busiest human beings possible right now.
