‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: Now featuring Pitbull

Yep, we still have more “Empire” casting news to share. The deluge of guest stars has not slowed down at all!

The difference between the latest guest star in Pitbull and some others is that he is going to be coming aboard the Fox series’ upcoming second season in a role that he really should be familiar with at this point: Himself. He will perform as well with Jamal (Jussie Smollett) for at least one number.

Seeing Pitbull be added to the mix here really is not much of a surprise, mostly for the sole fact that he has a good relationship with Fox, and is one of those performers who at this point is pretty well-known universally. Not everyone may be his biggest fan, but he is good at least at being a likable, charismatic guy with a good work ethic. We’re excited to see him on this show, mostly because this is not the sort of venue that we’re used to see him in.

Some other guest stars for the upcoming second season include Lenny Kravitz, Kelly Rowland, Chris Rock, Marisa Tomei, pop singer Becky G, and the recently-announced Mariah Carey. This show is the biggest thing that Fox has going for itself at the moment, and it is currently slated to premiere on Wednesday, September 23.

Of course, we hope to have some other news related to the show as time passes. If there is one thing that we have learned at the moment in regards to “Empire,” it is that the show probably is not done just yet when it comes to revealing members of its guest cast.
