‘Empire’ season 2: See stars Taraji P. Henson, Terence Howard on ‘Lip Sync Battle’
Sure, you are not going to get a chance to see the season 2 premiere of “Empire” until September 23, but why wait that long to get some other previews of what to expect from the show?
If you look below, you can take a look at what is certainly a very musical performance featuring Taraji P. Henson on Spike TV’s hit “Lip Sync Battle” Thursday night, and one of her songs of choice is going to be none other than “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige. What do we think of the song choice? We should start off here by saying first and foremost that this is more than fine when it comes to picking a good tune, especially since Blige actually shows up to help Taraji out!
We feel almost bad now for Taraji’s “Empire” co-star Terence Howard, given that it feels almost impossible that he is going to find a way to come anywhere close to this level of awesome. How do you beat bringing in the person who actually does the song? The last time we saw something like this is when Anna Kendrick came out with Jennifer Lopez for a performance of “Booty” back during the show’s first season.
The biggest takeaway that we have from watching this is that clearly Terence and Taraji must enjoy working together enough to have some fun over here. Also, it’s more connectivity for Spike TV, given that these two actors previously hosted the Guys’ Choice Awards together earlier this summer.
