‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 6, episode 8 preview: Could Maura’s father be the killer?

As it turns out, many “Rizzoli & Isles” suspicions were precisely correct: On next week’s new episode entitled “Nice to Meet You, Dr. Isles,” Maura’s father is going to play a very integral role. Not only that, but there are also going to be many questions in regards to whether or not there could be something sinister regarding this man that we never would have guessed. Can someone as sweet and smart as Maura come from a man with a dark heart?

More then that the question we should really be asking is could Maura’s dad be capable of murder? The promo that aired tonight definitely makes you think this is possible. You can get a little more information on that courtesy of the official TNT episode synopsis:

“When the jeweler to Boston’s super cool and famous dies, our investigation leads us to a member of the Isles family we’ve never met. And that leads us to a secret Maura has been keeping for almost all of her life.”

Hopefully we’ll get some answers as to Maura’s secret and also her father before we reach the end of this hour … and we also hope that they are not leading us down another sad path. Haven’t we had enough difficult moments so far this season? Losing Susie should really give us some sort of immunity to having to tear up again before season 6 comes to an end … or at least until the end of the summer, if nothing else. That is one of the things that we love about this show: Even though there are tough cases that Jane and Maura work on each week, for the most part their personal lives bring us a light-hearted chemistry that we look forward to every week.
