‘The Bachelorette’ finale: Kaitlyn Bristowe, Shawn Booth talk Snapchat spoiler on ‘Jimmy Kimmel!’
It’s not often we say this when it comes to matters pertaining to “The Bachelorette,” but we have to give Jimmy Kimmel some credit today. After all, he may be the most hard-hitting interviewer at ABC these days, getting the answers to questions that people really want to know about.
Specifically, we are talking about when Kaitlyn Bristowe spoiled the ending of her own season on Snapchat weeks before her finale aired, when she accidentally sharing a clip of her and Shawn Booth in bed together. After that, almost every media outlet (save for the ones who have some sort of relationship with the show and didn’t want to help spoil the outcome for fans) picked up on it and went viral. In an age where this show is already heavily spoiled, this incident took it to another level.
Kaitlyn admitted her mistake to Jimmy last night, and Shawn joked that at first he thought he was the one to let the cat out of the bag. To the surprise of no one, Jimmy claims that ABC was not happy about what she did, and she admits to feeling bad … which is really all that you can say about it at this point. Nobody really should be that upset about it, given that the ratings for this season were tremendous and there was still plenty of attention on the finale. Also, ABC probably doesn’t want the headlines of them suing their own lead for breach of contract when they want to show a good relationship between her and the network.
In the end, we still think that ABC is happy with Kaitlyn for the most part when it comes to her season. The only thing that is left now is for everyone to move forward … after you listen to our latest podcast on the subject, that is.
