‘The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose’: Nick Viall, Shawn Booth, and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s confrontation
Was tonight’s “After the Final Rose” meeting a chance for chaos? The show seemed to want it, given that they put Nick and Shawn on stage at the same time. This is not something that the show has a rich history of doing, but they obviously were hoping to get some sort of drama out of the dislike that these two guys have for each other, which has been pretty strong all season.
Before Shawn and Kaitlyn came out, we actually think Nick came across fairly well. He didn’t say anything too embarrassing, and while there were little digs between him and Shawn during their conversation, for the most part they ended things relatively amicably. They both admitted that ultimately, their immaturity in the situation got in the way of their relationships with Kaitlyn.
Overall, this was not last year’s “After the Final Rose” by any means. The only real thing Nick was angry about was why she didn’t let him down before the end if she knew that he was not the right person for her, and she didn’t really have much of an answer. Our response? Maybe production wanted this to happen and pushed her into a corner where she agreed to let Nick show up for a proposal that wasn’t going to end well.
